The longer you have diabetes the more you need to look after yourself. Blood vessels which a small can get affected by these high sugars and effect eyes, feet and kidneys.

Diabetic retinopathy is the most common cause of blindness under the age of 60 and is a common complication of diabetes. It occurs when tiny blood vessels within the retina (the light-sensitive area at the back of the eye) break and leak blood, obscuring vision. Reduction in blood supply to your eyes can cause lack of vision.
